I'm surprisingly sad about Peter Jennings' death. Growing up, his voice was a permanent fixture in the background of my family's dinners. And I always respected his ability to recognize "the other side" of the story and question the actions of the government. The NYT brief about his life almost brought me to tears - especially the last few paragraphs.
