I discovered - only 1 week ago - that the Jigs and I get HGTV as part of our basic cable package. Channel 67, dudes. Ever since, it's been ALL HGTV ALL THE TIME! Among the highlights of my new channel love is the design taste quiz from Get it Together!
Jigs and I knew we were compatible in many ways (including those ways NOT screened by eHarmony), but we had no idea we have the same design sensibilities. Indeed. "Rustic" it is. For both of us. Though I'm beginning to wonder if everyone tests as "Rustic". Let me know your outcome.
Unfortch, we haven't had a lot of opportunity to let our design senses shine, given the crazy-arse housing costs in the bay area. Mayhaps we'll benefit from all the folks defaulting on loans. Will it mean more availability of reasonably-priced (i.e. - will only take 70 years to pay off) real estate?

I, too, don't have my design sensibility shining through as I default to free furniture from friends (1/2 of my stuff) and IKEA (the other half) and I chose my living space solely on its affordability and proximity to work. But one day I'll have a house!
Stupid quiz! I'm apparently Victorian...interesting in that I then looked at pictures of an actual Victorian-inspired room and almost choked on my own puke.
T-Vo and I are hooked on "Flip that House" shows. Hey! Buy a crack house for a cool half mil! ANd make it nice for $1.99 and sell it for $700K! Nice way to live...

And J.Vo - that's friggin HI-larious. Victorian is about the LAST style I'd match with you. Whereas I would have guessed Contemporary right out of the gate for Sophist weird.
Also - I HEART Flip that House! The Jigs and I keep talking about buying some piece of crap (for 500K, as you state) and turning it into a gem on a 50K budget. SO FUN!

So I changed 2 answers that I was on the fence about, and now I'm Contemporary. I don't know if agree with that one, either, but at least it's not the knee-jerk vomitus that occurred with Victorian.
